Yep…you heard it. I recently just got a new job as the service program director and small group director at New Season Church in Hiram, Ga. Your first initial response to “service program director” may be, “what the heck is that?” Well…basically Im in charge of the whole environment and experience at New Season. From when a person drives on to property, to greeters, to stage design, to when a person is leaving, I get to create the atmosphere.
Im not totally new to this job description and have had experience with it in the past…so if I could suggest anything to anyone who does this kind of work (and even remind myself), I want to say that no matter how creative or relevant you try to be, and no matter how “good” it seems to be portrayed, without intentionality and relationships driven toward people experiencing the cross and community…your just wasting a lot of time and effort on cool looking stuff that is absolutely meaningless in the end result. So…keep Jesus and people first.
So pumped!

So excited for you.
I couldn’t be more proud of you! I am so excited about your new job and the great things you are doing and are going to do for the Kingdom of God. I read your blog about Theology and you are right!! Who cares! Our theology should be Jesus and nothing else.
I love you!!
